Busted Lip

I have LOTS (Florida roadtrippin, hanging with old and new friends, snowdays) to catch up on but for now I have just a have a short little post.

Karlee Grace has her first busted lip! Poor baby trip and bit her lip (not sure how since she doesn't have top teeth). It was a bloody mess and at first we weren't sure but I'm almost positive when she fell she managed to bit her top lip. I was quick on my toes and popped a popsicle in her mouth and all was right in her small little world again! No pictures of her battle wound because there wasn't much to see, it was all inside of her mouth.  

 

With all that being said I see many more bumps, bruises and battle wounds in our future!

Ever had a bad hair day?

Random Cold Day

I HATE cold weather! So when it is cold we stay inside and at home!

 

Karlee Grace is really into giving all her toys rides on her pony!

Another one of her favorites is reading books. She did not get this from me because the only books I read are the books I read to her but I LOVE to see her sitting down trying to read.

 

Maybe she will be come a vet or maybe she will be a bookworm. Who knows, only time will tell. Time needs to SLOW down though!!!!

Bye Bye Crawling

15 months and 9 days later we officially have a full blown walker! Standing up and going on her own. She even walked herself to her room for bed tonight. Such a bittersweet moment! I love watching her learn new things but it only means she is "leaving" babyhood and entering toddlerhood.

Clothing Sizes:

12 month all around for the most part.

Size 2 and some size 3 shoes.

Size 3 diapers.

 

Eating Habits:

3 sippy cups of milk a day

1 full sippy of a half apple juice/half water.

All table foods.

Favorites are ANYTHING that includes cheese (grilled cheese, quesadilla, mac n cheese, cheese, cheese and more cheese!

Other food include pickles, yogurt, raisins, grapes, bananas, oatmeal, pizza, gold fish, graham crackers, salami, pepperoni, ham, turkey.

 

Sleeping Habits:

Sleeping 8 p.m. - 8 a.m.

We have basically dropped the morning nap (sometimes she still takes one) and taking a 2-3 hour afternoon nap.

 

Favorites:

MICKEY MOUSE Clubhouse!

Cozy coupe! Loads it up with all her toys.

Minnie Mouse cell phone (she even puts it up to here ear and talks, lol)

Purple Violet leap frog dog.

Singing EIEIO - I sing the other part.

BOOKS, BOOKS, and MORE BOOKS!

Pushing and walking behind anything she can move (cozy coupe, walker, ottoman)

Walking around all the furniture and randomly letting go and walking.

She loves to hold your hand and walk around.

She has two different waves, waving bye bye and waving to say hey.

Clapping and dancing.

Wink at the lil cutie and she blinks back, so stinkin cute!

High fives for EVERYONE.

She has her head and nose down but I'm not sure if she really knows her eyes, mouth and ears (its hit or miss with those.

Everyday is an adventure for us. It's so much fun. She is so well behaved (yes, I know I'm a lil partial!) but we take her everywhere and never have issues.

KG: no

KG: no

 

Me: Karlee Grace you want a banana?

KG: no

 

Me: Karlee Grace do you want to read a book?

KG: no

 

Confession: I sometimes ask her questions just to hear her say no, LOL.

New Years Eve

We were living a little on the WILD fun side! I can't think of anything better than a little 4 wheeler riding, fire works and pizza with my lil fam!

Here's a peak at some of my favorite pictures from 2013.

 

 

2013 was such a fun year full of first's! I can't believe it flew by as fast as it did but I'm looking forward to a fun 2014. I have really struggled/considered going back to work however I can't imagine leaving my little Karlee Grace. She is only a baby once so I'm going to take full advantage and stay home for 2014. I'm sure we will have several camping trips, beach trips, random pack up and go trips, eat lots of ice cream, spend lots of time outside, watching mickey mouse, shopping, and most importantly making memories! After all that's what we do, make memories! No turning back time so we have to live life to the fullest. 

Christmas 2013

 

This Christmas was all about NEW traditions! The normal jump up running from house to house no longer exists. We have made the decision to spend Christmas morning at our house then venture out for lunch and dinner with our families. It was nice to spend time as our little family (both of our parents actually came to our house early that morning for a few hours).

Since my sister (ER) and brother in law (Fire Department) worked Christmas day we decided to do our Christmas on Christmas Eve night after the candle light service at church.

For as long as I can remember we went to a short candle lighting service on Christmas Eve. I want this to be something Karlee Grace will grow up doing as well.

Mommy and Daddy gave her the leaf frog dog, bows, books, plates, forks, old school stacking toy, and much much more!

 

After spending the morning at home we got ready and headed to Josh's parents.

 

 

Lil miss priss racked up over there too!

 

Vtech kitty cat, elephant ball toy, Minnie mouse books that she LOVES, clothes, a sing along vetch book, and again much much more!!

 

Little girl must have been really good in 2013!

 

This Christmas was so much fun however I think the next few to come are gonna be even more fun!!!
