Well we did it again! Randomly packed up and headed south! Let me just say I am so thankful for a happy little girl that can go with the flow and ride 8 hours in a car seat.
I have been missing my Granny and felt like I needed to make a visit so Josh made it happen. She had no idea and was totally surprised when we got there. Her exact words were
Granny: what are yall doing here
Josh: we just decided to go for a little ride
Granny: well where are you going?
Yes, granny is all full of jokes! She lives just south of Ocala, Florida.
My dad once own a body shop in the area and sold out when he went into the ministry. We sold our name as well. I thought it was fitting to take Karlee Grace by the building and take a few pictures for my dad. I lived here till the age of 8.
It's a life I barley remember but one she will never know!
Karlee Grace had the opportunity to play with her second cousin, Sophia.
And ride around on a 4 wheeler (she has had lots of practice on hers around the house).
Granny enjoyed her special time with Karlee Grace. KG spent the mornings watching Mickey while Josh and I cooked breakfast for Granny. (rolls have reversed now! LOL) I considered this a special moment in KG's life. She has no idea how much this woman means to me and I hope she will one day now.
Granny was soaking it up!!!
A picture with her Great Aunt Terri (my dad's sister).
We arrived on Wednesday and had to leave on Friday to head north to Malone, Florida.
We made a stop to see my other Grandparents in Lake City. Spent a good hour at Wendy's so Karlee Grace could stretch her legs and visit a little.
When I was 8 my dad sold his shop and our house on 10 acres to go back to college and go into the ministry. I had no idea at that time what impact it would have on my life. Because he uprooted our family and moved us I was able to meet my best friend.
We arrived in Malone around 2 and shortly after headed to Dothan for some shopping and dinner. KG was so tired she passed out on our way back to the house (changed her clothes, diaper and put her to bed and she barley woke up). Apparently I was tired to because shortly after I fell asleep on the couch and sometime late that night I remember Clay saying to Josh are you gonna carry her upstairs, lol.
Next day Josh and Clay so pulled a girly day! They guys went shopping and to lunch while Kyndal and I ran around the OH SO BIG town (one light!). We went to check on the chickens and to feed the horse. It was a low key fun day. That evening all our long lost friends and my sister came to hang out!
I love these girls! Crazy to think how far we have all come from being little girls running around Friendship Baptist Church.
Our traditional picture now has an extra little person and hopefully will have another extra little person a new a few years (not another Cline, lol).
Karlee Grace loves her Uncle Clay! And Kyndal of course!
This was the first time Karlee Grace has been to Granny's or to Malone. I hope she gets to make more trips like this. So thankful for these people in my our lives!
